The Scottish exam dates are set for October 4th 2008, if you were not able to attend on that day, can another date be arranged? Or is it set in stone?

Set in stone I am afraid.
There is one date for all the exm centres around the world so that are aas "simultaneous" as can be given the time differences around the world. Always the "same" weekend at beginning of October.

PJW is correct. The date is the date and cannot be shifted.

Thanks for the replies, although I apologise for taking so long to get back. I reckon I will attempt 1 or 2 exams this year.
