Hi everyone. I've been a Signalling Engineer for 30 years this year starteing on the Southern Region of Briyish Rail in 1978. I passed the exam in 1992 (the proper way - all in one sitting!) and became an I.Eng MIRSE & MIIE soon afterwards, which was nice.
I co-founded a study group the same year in Croydon. I was originally a signalling designer but I'm now a Functional Tester 1.3.170 working towards Mod.2. on SSI and RII.
I worked with US&S in Brisbane, Australia for 5 years and started a study group there also which went very well.
I wish we'd had the internet for this kind of forum when I was studying. Good idea - well done. |
