2008 exam was last weekend and so for most of the candidates it is time for a rest from studying and the beginning of the wait to see what exam results will be delivered along with the Christmas post.

However that time will soon past so some of us are considering what to organise for 2009 exam preparation. One input obviously is student demand; hence I attach a poll to attempt to get a flavour of this- please use it to signal your intentions.

Clearly there will be some who will not know whether a re-sit of one of this year's modules will be needed but I think many will have a reasonable conviction that they are likely to have passed and others will be fearing that they may have failed. If the latter, this probably suggests that you should do a bit more to improve your knowledge in that area anyway!

I now understand that the YM AGM and Exam Review is to be held on
THURSDAY 15th JANUARY. Details not yet available but presumably in central London, quite possibly at the I Mech E at Westminster
Here are the details as circulated in IRSE News; don't forget to email Olga if you intend to attend for the whole afternoon (recommended for all, but especially those with interest in module 1) or just for the actual feedback from the Exam committee.

It is recommended that attendees furnish themselves with copies of the 2008 exam question paper; these have been made available for download by the IRSE at http://www.irse.org/IRSEExam.html

The official notes of the Exam Review in recent years have taken a very long time to become available; I think this is unsatisfactory as obviously those far from London can't reasonably attend, so I'll attempt to post some unofficial notes here but this isn't a real substitute for attending.
