Some provisional dates for your diaries here – as usual 2012 will see two courses run by the IET:
Electric Traction Systems 5 - 8 May 2012
Railway Signalling and Control Systems 21 - 24 May 2012

Also:
Railway Electrification Infrastructure and Systems 3 - 6 June 2013 [NB year]

Suggest you look at the IET website to start with - there are definitely some conferences coming up.
