Edit Reason: Added question
)
Question:
Following an incident at a Bay Platform starting signal, he signaller claims that a SPAD occurred. The driver alleged that the signal showed yellow with the points set for departure and that the signal went back to red as the train started.
Explain the testing required to determine whether there is a signalling fault. [25 marks]
My attempt to this question.
Ive answered this differently than if it were Mod 1 or 7. Focussed less on investigation following an incident (witness statements, interviews, data log capturing and securing, photographs, maintenance logs etc...) and more directly on what parts of the signalling system should/would be tested.
Any thoughts?
Adrian
