2005 - 2013 Layout 3 diagrams

The only model answer which I recollect that the IRSE has produced is that for 1998 which was included on the Study DVD (and I would hope therefore now downloadable from IRSE website but I haven't checked so do not know). This was actually far more detailed than could possibly be done in the time permitted, so was aspirational rather than practicable. However there was also a real attempt (to an Australian practice) of I think 2005. I also included various other answer attempts on the DVD including one which deliberately had a host of the frequent "schoolboy errors" identified, so showing how NOT to do it.

Dorothy has also certainly posted at least one of her attempts on this website fairly recently (2007 at http://irseexam.co.uk/thread-280.html) as some other have done in previous years as well.

I haven't deliberately ensured that there is a very large collection since
a) file size is large each time
b) looking at a previous attempt tends to "give the game away" for a particular layout, yet actually just looking at a solution isn't particularly educational to the uninitiated so less useful say than Control Tables for a particular Layout 3.

That is why I decided that it was better to put a lot of descriptive text within the Mod 2 Study pack, firstly to explain the concepts and secondly to give some specific hints for a wide range of the layouts. I feel that there are enough to get the general idea by some particular examples.

You are however welcome to post your own solution of one of them and I will endeavour to find time to make some comments; I do have to observe though that time prior to the exam is strictly limited and reducing significantly on a daily basis now.
