My sat was 1 & 5 this year. I was struggling to study the exam both with tremendous material due to too much undigestable information.

1st bullet "Did the questions surprise you?"
Mod1, surprised I could do well on my thoughts at least I could have 14-page attempt to express my ideas on 3 questions.

Mod5, I was a bit shocked; I could not find TC calc. Luckily I found point mechanism and fault tree and those are my plan to do it. 12-page answer on 3 questions would be not bad for my score.

2nd bullet "How tough did you think it was?"
It was not too tough from my point of view if I compared it with last year questions.

3rd bullet "Were the administrative arrangements at your exam centre ok?"
BKK Exam center was good. There were about 7 people attempting. Actually it is best for us not to travel away from Thailand which is cheaper if not located in BKK.

4th bullet "Are you apprehensive for the long wait before knowing your result?"
I am now being frustrated for long wait. If it is the long wait and the result does not disappoint me, I would be extremely happy. If not, I would get my mind out of it for a while and restart perhaps soon.

The Study Packs are currently being reviewed; I'd be interested whether it was content in them or other reference material which you considered  "undigestable information".  Was it just the quantity of material, was it because you felt that there was a steep learning curve because the content was something quite different from what you encounter everyday, or was it that you felt it was badly written?

Mod5.  I am not at all surprised that there was not a Track Circuit calc question this year; indeed given what the examiners had said at the \exam Review for 2014 then I think I would have been surprised if there had been.

Glad that you did find questions you felt you could do; seem to have written a fair bit, so let's hope it is accurate and relevant.  If it seemed similar difficulty to last year then that at least is suggesting some consistency from year to year, so if you pass you pass and if you don't then at least you won't feel cheated.

Study centre.  I often think that the UK candidates don't know how lucky they are compared with foreign candidates who often feel lucky if there is an exam centre in their country (OK the Welsh do have to cross the Severn to get to Bristol!).

Wait for results.  Certainly give yourself several months away from it, but yes you may have to think about it again before the results are published.  A suggestion might be to start getting into the swing of things by looking at mod7 material; it would actually be of some value to both mod1 and mod5 and hence you'd be learning something new which is always beneficial and if you do need to resit one or other of your modules then you can return to them but having got a bit different perspective that is bound to enhance your answering of those modules.
