Past papers
#1
If you are looking to get hold of past papers as examples of the sort of questions, remember that the IRSE being can provide these for a fee. Also, if you know someone who has taken any modules recently, they will have been given the opportunity to have the question papers for their modules sent to them after the exam, so you might already have access to some of them in our office, or a workplace nearby.

I have had a few direct requests recently for copies of the module two and three layouts from students. Noting that the layout is more difficult to copy or scan that the A4 question papers, I have asked the IRSE if I can put the scanned files that i have of the layouts on here for students to download as there are fewer copies out there in real study land. Given that, at the moment, the institution is revamping the way that they make exam information to students via their own website and will be putting the papers on there, the response is that if a student wants a copy of a specific paper, they should send an e-mail to Christine White at the exam office and it will be sent out.

I note the IRSE have updated their website and placed on it the 2013 question papers and associated layouts.

I nearly missed this update as they haven't yet changed the various dates re the Exam itself and the closure date for entry from the 1013 dates to the 2014 equivalents and then did a "double take", but it is indeed true.

I'll try to get the IRSE to place the 2015 pApers on their website during the next month; that'll mean that the 2014 will disappear from the public area and it may be sometime before reappear in the members restricted area, so it would be a good idea to download now if you will want access.

As far as older papers are concerned, because of the quantity of past question attempts which have now been posted on this site and the fact that we do try to ensure there is a copy of the associated question, if you look around hard enough in the Modules area here, there is a pretty good chance that you'll find a module's Past Paper for a particular year which you are seeking!

IRSE have now updated the exam page of their website to includes the 2015 papers, hence making them available in time for those attending the Exam Review meeting next Thursday (and for candidates to have another look at when they receive their results)

I have noticed that the 2016 exam papers have replaced the 2015 versions on the public part of the IRSE website; pleased that this appears now to bee happening as a matter of routine without the need for gentle nudges by me.  Still a bit of time to wait for results from last year, but at least the questions are available to last year's candidates to have a fresh look if they wish and also for those who may be attending the Exam Review / planning their preparation for this year's exam.

I note the IRSE have updated their website and placed on it the 2018 question papers and associated layouts. I'm delighted to see it is a lot prompter than some previous years.
