It's getting cold outside (unlike the day of the exam - hottest room in London that day I'm sure!) so it must be nearly time for the results.
I understand IRSE council meeting is this Wednesday 7th, so results should follow when the admin team can process them.

I understand that as an experiment this year, the results will (either in this week or the beginning of next) be placed in the Members' Area of the IRSE website, recorded without names but only by candidate number. Candidates will be sent an email telling them when their results have been posted and how to access the information.
To save a little time then, if anyone has not yet registered for access to the Members area, it would be prudent to do so now, so are set-up ready when that email comes.
I hear that Module 1 and Module 3 results this year are in general very disappointingly poor, so brace yourself for bad news in these papers.....

ok excellent thanks. glad to see the IRSE took some of the comments at the exam review on board.
Not such good news about modules 1 and 3 though.
now the only issue is trying to find my candidate number!...

If in doubt, a swift email to the IRSE Office should provide your number.

So, looks like someone in the IRSE office was a bit ambitious when they made this prediction! I don't suppose anybody knows what is happening with this? If the experiment is successful, it would be a great boon for overseas candidates, who are presumably entirely at the mercy of the postal system.
It would be good if in future years, the IRSE could put more of a bound on the date when results will be available (or at least, when they will be posted). I can see why they wouldn't want to commit to a date for this new experimental system, but there can't be many professional exams out there that are as vague as "sometime in December... probably". So maybe something to consider in future years?

The IRSE is a small institution with very limited resources. Process needs to be followed and specifying a date is not always the right thing to do.
Be patient and appreciate most of the exam structure is manned by volunteers who give their time for free to better the lives of others. Or maybe someone fancies giving their time to HQ to assist in processing the paperwork?

As you can see from other posts, it doesn't seem that the results are yet public. This year we think candidates will be advised by email when results have been posted by the IRSE in the Member's area of their website.
It has been pointed out that in previous years when results were sent only by mail that they are often posted about 15th Dec, perhaps this means that there will not much longer to wait- however you need to remain patient a little longer. I guess someone will make a post here when they find they are available, but since I am not a candidate I am likely to find out rather later than someone who was a candidate..... One good thing is that everyone should be able to find their results at roughly the same time, rather than a "postcode lottery" re how long it takes physical letters to arrive.

I agree that commiting to a date for issuing results is not the best thing to do, particularly when all the examiners have day jobs and other committments. However, we know the exam results are marked, we all have access to the internet, and it doesn't take 5mins to upload them to the IRSE website.
