Th 06 Feb 2014: YM AGM, seminar & 2013 Exam Review
#1
Details are now available from IRSE website
see http://www.irse.org/events/Lists/Calenda...%20AGM.pdf

This event which traditionally marks-
1. the end of one IRSE Exam year when the results and feedback are given and
2. the beginning of the next one being the "wake up" call to start the studying.

Typically-
networking / refreshments on arrival
Annual General Meeting
Seminar papers on variety of subjects
networking /refreshments
Exam Review- statistics, report, hints, briefing of future changes, chance to ASK examiners questions
adjourn to the pub around the corner, perhaps with examiner or two to continue discussions

I hear that the mod 3 results are generally poor this year, so I expect that may be a focus of the Exam Review; I also think that for a second year running there may well be some Telecomms content!

Not yet sure I'll be able to make it myself but still trying to arrange things to be able to attend......

The event was video recorded; this should be available to download from the members' area of the IRSE's website in due course; so indeed should the Powerpoint presentation that was utilised by the examiners.

At present the feedback from the 2012 exam is still available- I suspect that when the new one is added this might disappear, so catch it whilst you can.

In the meantime (last year it took quite a long time to make them available) however, I suggest it is worth reading the notes I have written up of the meeting.

I have noticed that I missed out some of the Mod3 info relating to the number and quality of attempts at each question and as a consequence applied a comment incorrectly to Q1 the Control Table question that I can now see was made in connection with Q2. Hence I have removed the original version of my notes and replaced with an updated version.
