Hi folks,

Sitting Module 3 (and 1!) this year. Here's an attempt at Mod3 2011 Q11. Any feedback/comments welcome.

Many thanks,

Andy

Many of the comment that I made on your other recent attempt apply here (the MAR when the flasher has not started, the grouping of aspects clearly so they are not sitting in the middle of the page with no owner, flashing sequence up to a red signal after the junction etc).

I must admit, having made the comment of your use of ROL on the other diagram, I have not seen ROLs applied in quite the way they have been on this diagram, but the are stated and you have done them broadly right except that the way you have shown it, you have two different Y entries for 107 and 111. There is only one single yellow aspect and hence only one Y should be shown, it is really the route back from the end rather than towards the end that you should think about. R+ROL in 111 will track back to Y in 107 in just the same way as R+OL in 111 will track back to the same Y and you need to show the step up condition from R to Y in 107 for the warning route.

I have not got the standard with me to check, but I think that in 4 aspect signals, you can start the flashing sequence for the junction even if you pass the initial caution at YY, hence there should be a line form the line between YY in 107 and Y in 111 to the FY in 111 with a suitable step up condition.

A couple of silly errors - you have shown a step up to YY in 106 but then shown no condition for when the YY will be shown.

For 213BR, it should show OFF for G, YY and Y and only on for R.

With the Flashing yellows you are right - you can pass the YY but need to have seen FY on the approach.
