Unfortunately COVID-19 means that these will need to be cancelled as they are all planned for a timescale in which travelling and physical meetings need to be minimised.  We are currently thinking what we can do via the internet, whilst everyone is in social isolation; its early days but we intend to do something on each of these days but probably spread out also onto additional dates rather than completely occupy the original time slot.  Clearly there will be some minuses, but also there could be some positives- it may make the sessions more accessible to those not in the UK and spread out to be sequential that which at a physical event need to be parallel streams.
The Telecoms event is certainly going ahead in the original timeslot and was always intended to be a series of presentations with discussion afterwards and experience from this will inform the approach we take for the others.  However prior to that we will be trying to come up with a plan- suggestions and offers of help are welcome!

On Saturday the 25th April (09:45 to 17:00 BST) the IRSE younger members will hold an online signalling preparation event (for exam modules A, 2, 3 and 5).

The event will include a number of sessions which will demonstrate how the material presentation can be used to answer past questions. Open to those wishing to take the exam or increase general industry knowledge.

Schedule:
0945 Session 1 - Introduction and Headways
1155 Lunch
1235 Session 2 - Automation on the train and in the control centre and trackside equipment
1435 Break
1500 Session 3 - Module A style quiz
1700 Virtual pub with drinks after formal close (BYOB!)

During the event we will explore the demand for future online sessions covering the modules in more detail.

To increase interaction during the event, numbers will be limited.

Please sign-up here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/91975165195 and you will receive a link to the online video conference nearer the time. This event is free and open to all. We will use a zoom video conference for the event ( https://www.zoom.us/test ), note 'zoom' is blocked by some company networks but it should still be accessible using a home or mobile network.

Please share this email with others who may be interested in attending - including non-members who are interested in module A of the exam.
