They could just scan the letters and then email the PDF to individuals. Then they'd only have to check that they are being emailed to the right people.

I think using the IRSE online system is a good suggestion for next year. A lot of Universities and schools make exam results available online, so I'm quite surprised that the IRSE doesn't do this already.

Just called the IRSE - they are apparently sorting out the letters now. I do not expect to see the results until the new year now!
