M4 past exam papers

M4 past exam papers

With the potential London comms modules M4 & M6 Study Group about to happen, I have been digging for past papers.

I have both modules 4 and 6 past papers for the last 3 years 2008, 2009 and 2010, downloaded each year from IRSE web site when they were the last years exams respectively.

Also, I had downloaded (from this forum somewhere ?) one set of model answers for each of M4 and M6.

These are probably a good basis to make a start for the Study Group.

I know we can't upload papers to this forum, but I'm asking if anyone out there has any earlier exam papers for 2007 and earlier we could beg borrow or otherwise acquire the use of? Don't think we would want to go too far back though because of technology progression.

We have not uploaded stuff wholesale as the IRSE want to make sure that their intellectual property is not misused. I have it from good authority that appropriate posting of exam material is not a problem, so if you are discussing specific questions, do not feel inhibited from quoting the question text.

Once signed in as a member, you can download the most recent 5 year's papers from IRSE website.
Obviously you have to be careful when looking at older papers, particularly as the module syllabus does get updated from time to time, so don't be misled by the older papers.  That said, treated with suitable caution there is value in having a larger numbers of papers to see the range of topics and style of questions that might come up.
